Man Fires Gun Toward Day Care To Kill Pit Bull, ‘Trophy Poses’ With Corpse (GRAPHIC IMAGES)

The Facebook page, Southern Maryland Lost And Found Pets, a group dedicated to reuniting lost animals with their owners, posted some disturbing news recently.

The photo in question is one of Kenny Allen Woodburn of Lexington Park, MD posing with a dog he had just killed like a trophy. According to him, the dog is a vicious beast that was ‘COMING RIGHT FOR HIM.’

As already mentioned, the dog was Second Amendmented in the back.

Woodburn’s pose with the dog is very reminiscent of a photo we ran across on an old Facebook profile.

Woodburn has disabled his current Facebook account following backlash from the community–but before the post was deleted a number of other photos of his victim were pridefully posted.

Area residents chimed in, offering additional information to the story. For instance, this man’s decision to unload his weapon at Tank was made knowing there is a day care right next door.

In fact, he was firing his weapon in the DIRECTION of said day care.

Toni Tilton, someone whose daughter attends the day care, posted that the dog enjoyed playing with the children, and was entirely non aggressive–and that it lives in the neighborhood.

We have reached out to Toni Tilton, and are awaiting more information. If this is indeed true, then it needs to be addressed.
The proprietor of Southern Maryland Lost And Found Pets told AATTP,  “Apparently Tank was the mascot at the daycare and went over there very frequently and is in fact buried at the daycare now.” We are told that the children had a funeral to honor their lost friend.
Woodburn’s criminal record, as Lost And Found Pets noted, has an interesting criminal history. In August of 2013, he was charged with theft and fourth-degree burglary for his alleged “liberation” of a 9.9 hp outboard motor from a local marina.
In October, he was pulled over after police were warned to be on the lookout for a “drunk driver with a gun.” When he was pulled over by police he failed a field sobriety test, and was arrested. Police found, among other things, four firearms in his vehicle. One was noted to be a “long gun modified to appear and function as a handgun.” According to TheBayNet, he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Suspended, Possession Controlled Dangerous Substance – Marijuana and Possession Paraphernalia, Possession Unregistered Rifle/Shotgun, Concealment: Dangerous Weapon, and Handgun in Vehicle.
In September, he was charged with driving on a suspended license.

After receiving hundreds of complaints, the police have, according to Lost And Found Pets, decided to pursue the matter:

A petition calling for Woodburn’s arrest has gathered over 6,000 signatures to date. The latest update confirms that he will be charged, and that animal cruelty is a felony
