San Francisco, CA: The following animals are missing from San Francisco Animal Control Pet Harbor database. When we called the animal pound for status updates this morning, September 8, 2014, the attendant, Martha, put us on hold several times and then refused to disclose information about these dogs.
No pit bulls show up on the city's Facebook page or the city's animal pound website as adopted.
These dogs are owned by the city and the city pound owes the public status updates. This shelter has a long history of killing pit bulls and manipulating the live release numbers.
San Francisco Pit Bull Watcher Facebook page tracks the pit bull dogs in San Francisco to account for the city's faulty bookkeeping in which former shelter directors like Rebecca Katz recently fired and Carl Friedman reportedly tweaked the numbers.
In the past two weeks, several dogs have been discovered to have two A#'s which are given to all impounds to track the dogs.
The city owes the public an explanation for each dog the public pays the city to care for. By refusing to give out information for the dogs, the city is not only opening itself for litigation, but also raising serious concerns about the location of these animals in its care.
The following A#'s do not show up on this week's Pet Harbor database and the city refuses to disclose their whereabouts:
A#360406
A#360342
A#360341
A#360303
A#359569
A#359746
A#259526
A#359500
A#359479
A#358993
A#357227
Where are these dogs? Were all of them adopted and redeemed Rebecca Katz claimed on the TRD Facebook page before being fired and escorted out of the building July 25? Eric Zuercher, former kennel supervisor with a terrible record of killing pit bulls was named as interim director.
petition has been created begging the city to rethink past appointments and canvas the nation for a humane rescue friendly and solutions oriented director. The city is asked to clean house of these current employees who seem to feel as if the animals are their personal property and do not feel they need to offer the public updates on animal welfare.
Over the weekend, pit bull hate groups haveposted alerts they have been adopting pit bulls and killing them. At least one of these murdered dogs came from SFACC.
These dogs do not belong to the employees at San Francisco Animal Control. Please call and ask for the status of these listed dogs in hopes they are not killed like so many others or even worse, turned over to hate groups to be exterminated.
A very dangerous hate group attached to Rebecca Katz has been attacking these articles. This same group has ties to the Dawn James and Craven Desires pit bull hate groups responsible for adopting innocent pit bulls at shelters and having them destroyed.
Please call the city's animal pound and ask where these dogs are. If dogs are claimed to have been adopted, ask for date and reason why the dog's adoption is not posted on the city website or Facebook page.
