Does Dogsbite.org Encourage Violence?

Here you have Anti Pit Bull advocacy at it’s finest. Making meme’s promoting violence.

Many times I have seen comments from Dogsbite.org supporters encouraging “GETTING ARMED”. Weapons of choice vary among the supporters, but the message is clear, GET ARMED! Does their message and hate do just that?

dbo weapons
Take the story of the Pit Bull Clara. Clara was a dog stabbed in a Georgia PetSmart back in  September 2014. During an adoption event at PetSmart, Clara got away from her handler and approached a dog owned by Craig Emory Hayes. Hayes apparently was overheard by witnesses during the stabbing “effing Pit Bulls this “, “effing Pit Bull that”. Other witnesses felt Clara wasn’t really harming Hayes dog, but Hayes felt differently and continued to stab Clara. The stabbing occurred during business hours, with many families with children and other dogs present. Was Hayes actions justified? Did Hayes have to repeatedly stab Clara, even after the dogs were separated?
The focus of this article isn’t Clara, the focus is asking the question “Does Dogsbite.org encourage violence? Not the screenshot from Thomas McCartney, also notice the “likes” to his post. The artist Joan Kowal, that was quite upset over the protest at her display of handmade wooden crosses. Angry over protesters ? BUT encourages violence?

Take a look at some Dogsbite, org supporters regarding their weapons of choice.

These screenshots are just a small number to show you how the mentality of these advocates work. I am one for protecting yourself against dangers, but when does that protection go too far?  Why is their focus always on Pit Bulls and not other dangers such as rapist, robbers, etc.? I have asked myself and others this question, if Craig Emory Hayes was carrying a gun that day, would he have used it? Would Mr. Hayes be shooting a dog with children around? Is getting armed the solution? Is stabbing dogs the solution? Perhaps their advocacy tactics aren’t working and GETTING ARMED is the next step to banning dangerous dogs. In the next article, we will move to the next weapon of choice, GUNS, stay tuned.
