The only thing that can be accomplished if people were to think all dogs are the same, that all large dogs have fighting dog behavior, and no dog is safe around a child, would be the phasing out of all dogs as pets. Which would take the fighting dogs down too. Which may be the big picture.

I agree. For all of my life and long before I was born people have trusted large dogs more because they tend to be more tolerant and less fearful. I can't find a single old picture of a Pitbull in any of my family pictures going back to the tin types. They had Border Collies, Poodles, Shepherd mixes, Spaniels and Retrievers. Pitbulls were owned by people who were looking for fighting dogs well into the 80s.

Excellent point, Chris. That logic of theirs goes hand in hand with their talking point, "chihuahuas are more aggressive than any other breed (even tho I just said breed doesn't matter) but they don't cause as much damage because they are so small." And....?
